Writer Application

Interested in becoming an official member of the Ink Out Loud community and posting your own original works on our website? More information below...

What is an Ink Out Loud writer?

Being a writer at Ink Out Loud allows you to set up a writer profile, share your original literary works on the website, and connect with fellow writers. Seeing as we are an organization ran by youth for the youth, all writers must be 13-19 years old. The application process may seem intimidating but is solely to keep our community safe and enjoyable for everyone. Being accepted as a writer comes with zero responsibility, only access to more possibilities and opportunities.

You will not be paid for posting any original literary works on our website, but you will be rewarded with recognition, praise, constructive criticism, and connections, all of which are immensely valuable to your growth as a writer. You will also gain access to an exclusive Discord server where the heart of our writer community will be. You may post as much or as little as you'd like, and you will maintain complete rights to all of your original work. Ink Out Loud will not claim ownership of anything you, as a writer, post on our website.

Currently, we divide our literary content into two categories: Journalism and Creative Writing. In the Creative Writing category, we accept novel excerpts, short stories, poems, song lyrics, scripts and monologues. In the Journalism category, we accept news reports, research articles, and opinion pieces. For any questions about what these mean, please feel free to reach out on our Contact Us page.

Ready to join our community and become a better writer? Please fill out this quick application below and press "Submit" once it is complete. Please create an Ink Out Loud account prior to submitting.
